Jack Sullivan
Has he had any good impact on the club? He seems very keen. If he was in the party that travelled to try and sign Fernandes then surely he’s gone on a learning exercise?

He’s learning the skills of transfers to take over possibly? The owners son appears to be getting more and more involved. Is this a good thing ?

I heard that he is our new DoF. Been kept on the quiet as worried about the fans kicking off.

Could be bullshit but really would not surprise me.

I really can't (won't?) believe that he's DoF. It wouldn't make any sense whatsoever - SURELY (big font, underlined, bold, italics) they're not that stupid? Can't say I care whether he goes with them though - I mean why not?

That said, is a DoF involved in negotiating the price of a player? A DoF isn't going to know what wages can be sustained over however many years. That must be GSB?

I also believe that they'll sell as soon as the right offer comes in. It's all about money - it's not legacy with them.

It is definitely a good thing that Jack Sullivan always travels around with the transfer negotiation party.

It increases the chance of him dying in a plane crash.

Sullivan rumours wide of the mark
By Staff Writer Wednesday, 8th January 2020
Reports that the youngest son of co-chairman David Sullivan is set to replace Mario Husillos as West Ham's Director of Football have been dismissed.

Husillos was one of the casualties following the dismissal of former manager Manuel Pellegrini, when the Chilean was fired at the end of last month.

Since then, it has been rumoured that Jack Sullivan - who has been cutting his teeth overseeing the West Ham's Women's operation for nearly two years - was set to succeed the Argentinian.

Those rumours were lent weight when it was revealed Sullivan Jnr had been closely involved with the deal to bring Benfica midfielder Gelson Fernandes to West Ham - a transfer that remains in the balance.

However a source at West Ham has revealed that the younger Sullivan is not being considered for the role, yet, due to his youth and current inexperience.

19-year-old Jack has been working alongside David Sullivan's preferred agent, Will Salthouse of Unique Sports Management, as he seeks to gain experience in agency business.

That partnership led him to become involved in the Fernandes deal.

David Moyes revealed last week that West Ham are unlikely to make a decision on Husillos' replacement until the end of the current campaign.

"My understanding is we are not close just now [to hiring a replacement]," Moyes said last Friday. "It might be something we will look to do it more at the end of the season."

Re: Jack Sullivan
I see it as a good thing. If he does take over the club someday it's in our interests that he learns the ropes. There's no evidence he is driving our transfer business, but he probably has an influence - maybe a good influence.

Maybe he will realise that the club needs a proper infrastructure to function in the modern world. Cos I've lost hope that his dad ever will.

Hahahahah

I agree he’s a real asset, clearly an educated you man with the clubs interest at heart West Ham definitely doing there but for care in the community!

I hear they raiding Warley for the next Chief executive.

Is he really an asset or a further indication the club is run like a fawlty towers ?

I can’t decide what say you all ? Is Alex v correct?

Imagine being Jack S, with all his father's money. He could if he wished swan around the world extravagantly spending his father's money just like some of the Made in Chelsea "celeb'"s. The fact that he is serving his apprenticeship at WHU in the hope of developing his career, to me shows character.
As to whether he will make a positive contribution at WHU, only time will tell.

Serving his apprenticeship?

He is Managing Director of the WOMENS team and seemingly involved in our Keystone Kops capers of trying to sign players.
Apprenticeship should see him ordering paper clips in the office and going out to pick up Brady’s dry cleaning

Any apprenticeship he may be serving will
Mostly be all the glory bits. Travelling, transfers , pointing a lot and giving it the big I am.

It definitely won’t be learning what’s done in every department if the club.

Believe we had Husillos SON and Pellegrini’s SON on the ‘scouting’ team as well.
At this rate we will be signing Peschosolido as our next striker.
Place is an incompetent shambles of joke right through.
Sooner these buffoons are driven out the better.
We will go nowhere til then
